casi ilimitadas de sus aplicaciones biotecnol\u00f3gicas.<\/i><\/p><p><i>Los hongos macrosc\u00f3picos forman un grupo especial de microorganismos y cada d.a cobran m\u00e1s importancia. De <\/i><i>hecho, actualmente es de inter\u00e9s el conocimiento y adaptaci\u00f3n a nivel planta piloto e industrial de estas especies de <\/i><i>hongos comestibles y de algunas nuevas con potencial terap\u00e9utico, ya que cada d\u00eda la investigaci\u00f3n y m\u00e1s personas descubren <\/i><i>el potencial de beneficios, y est\u00e1 claro que hay mucho m\u00e1s por aprender, referente a la adaptaci\u00f3n y aplicaciones <\/i><i>a procesos unitarios de biotransformaci\u00f3n.<\/i><\/p><p><i>Los hongos tambi\u00e9n proporcionan sustancias, metabolitos secundarios, que en los humanos se usan como antibi\u00f3ticos, <\/i><i>enzimas y otras sustancias que tienen aplicaciones terap\u00e9uticas, algunas bien establecidas y otras por considerar. <\/i><i>Existe una gran diversidad de hongos que poseen actividad medicinal y de ellos se pueden extraer los metabolitos <\/i><i>secundarios responsables y adecuados para el tratamiento de distintas enfermedades.
